Get your shop off the spreadsheet mess

I build simple, custom tracking tools for small manufacturers, farms and trucking outfits. Orders, inventory, loads and records, all in one place your whole crew can use from a phone, tablet or office computer.

My work

Real tools, in use every day

These are working screens from three systems I built. Tap around them. Names, numbers and places are changed to keep my customers' and drivers' information private.

Manufacturing · Client project

Build & ship tracker for Lakestate Mfg

Lakestate Mfg builds brackets and tank systems for liquid applications on tractors. Their orders, parts and shipments lived in one big Excel file. I replaced it with a custom app the whole team opens in a browser.

  • Every order at a glanceA dashboard shows what's ordered, building, ready and shipped, plus what's low or out of stock.
  • Built around their shopOrders track each step from ordered to shipped, with billing, urgent and custom-build filters.
  • Grows with the businessShipping, pickups and a Shipped tab were added as they asked. QR-code parts inventory scanning is a possible expansion.
Sample data. Customer names and order details are made up.
Trucking · Built for my own trucks

IFTA mileage & fuel log

IFTA paperwork used to mean digging through notes every quarter. Now drivers log each trip and fuel stop from a phone, and the quarterly report adds itself up.

  • Two taps per tripStart a trip, tap when you cross a state line, finish the trip. Miles per state are split for you.
  • GPS trackingA feature I'm testing now. So far it's working great, and it will log state miles without entering anything at state lines.
  • Report ready to fileMiles and gallons by state for the quarter, one truck or the whole fleet.

Trucking · Milk hauling, about 20 drivers

Load schedule for drivers

The dispatcher keeps building the schedule in Google Sheets like always. Drivers open a simple phone app that shows their loads, everyone's loads, and where to enter times, pounds and miles.

  • No more group textsEach driver sees their loads for today and tomorrow, sorted by ready time, farm or driver.
  • Status everyone can seeScheduled and loaded show up in color, so the whole crew knows where things stand.
  • Feeds billingTimes, pounds and miles go straight back into the spreadsheet used for billing.

About

A South Dakota owner-operator who builds software

I run my own trucking business, and I started building tools to handle my own loads, billing and IFTA paperwork. Other businesses noticed, and now I build custom systems for manufacturers, farms and trucking outfits around the area.

I'm not a big software company. You'll work directly with me, and I'll build something that fits the way you already work.
